how can we bridge the gap betwine ideals and common practice?
should aducation take a turn from the teaching of concepts to focuse more on the use and integration of a consept de facto?
is it a question of funds and power hungry orgenizations that stand in the way of ideals?
i'm having a hard time explaining so i'll let you guys get on with it (hopfully) and add on this later...
please discuss

Are you referring to specific ideals, or just the "ideal" in general?
In general, I think that the gap between ideal and actual is purely subjective. We see that which we prefer as ideal, and that which we reject as less-than-ideal. As this varies based on perspective and preferences, we cannot expect to agree upon nor cooperatively participate in bringing about a Universal ideal.
The only way in which we may approach a desired change in the world is to effect it within ourselves first. This is difficult enough!
Once this movement towards this change has begun, and is consistently enacted within our own daily life, the ripple effect may cause change in the rest of the world.

i'm talking about the ideal for each situation... we have lots of ways to make our society better and yet we implement only a tiny fraction we can recycle loads of stuff, we use much more fuel then we actuly need we can invest money on welfare and education but we choose to spend it on bombs
i just know that things can change drastically for the better but there seems to be a block betwine the concepts and the fact.
there are lots of words in the world but the actions are so far off from the words... you can read a recipie but even if you follow it step by step you might not get a good result.
i know so much about the world and yet i have so little expiriance! it just doesn't seem right...

I think the late Prophet Bill Hicks said it best when he exclaimed:
It will fuck up the economy! The economy thats FAKE anyway!

Things are implemented, but the constant clash of ideologies prevents anyones vision of Utopia from being realized. In America we have a bipartisan government. Sometimes the democrat's ideas get implemented and sometimes the republican's do. As for anyone else, forget it.

there's almost no example to follow!
it's like humans jumped way a head of what they can actualy deal with... we should be happy we have all these options and yet we have truble choosing we have all these options and we fail to execute any of'em
i hear ya though... i know you're right but i know i'm in limbo right now and it seems that most everyone alse is also there.

Holidays, you can consider them to be information that has been implemented.

My little brother graduated high school yesterday. The valedictorian of his class made a speech that sounded much like this... about how the "AP" English class, specifically, was more like a book club than a place to learn literary techniques. The American education system is hollow at best, and while the door is open to use the system to learn, most school-aged kids are completely unaware that the door even exists. For them, school is just "what you do," and education takes a backseat to popularity contests.
