My dog is sick

Like an hour and a half ago she started to cough really bad, after 20 minutes of that started calling around to see who is open. On the way there my dog is fucking going berserk. Long story short they gave her a couple of shots one of which makes her dead weight(she is conscious but not fully there.) and told me it was just tracheal bronchitis or something.

Then they asked for 125 dollars for not even 20 minutes actually spending with the vet. ME I'd rather be safe than sorry though.

i have had to have 3 dogs put down in my lifetime. Its sucks losing a long time friend.

The bad part is I was over reacting b/c I havn't given her the heart worm medication in about a year, and on top of that I have already have a dog die b/c of heart worm. They rulled that out when we first got there. Now I feel better though, also I should take a pic of this dog walking crookerd, and doing other stuff to make her look drunk.

It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to your family.  I treat my dog like a member of the family, not simply a pet.  You should really consider staying on a year round heart worm medication so that you don't have to worry about that.  We use Heartguard Plus, and also use frontline every month.  We also got our dog a lyme disease vaccine, because we live in a very woodsy area.

Yeah Im going to the regular vet tommorow and finding out what would be best for her.

This is my puppy Lucy, she's a 10 month old yellow lab. 

What kind is your dog?  Do they have any idea what caused her respiratory infection?  I know dogs can transmit "Kennell Cough" fairly easily to eachother...maybe that's what it was?

Sorry about your pooch.

I had a 12$ cat, For the 2nd

time he got hit by a car, 1st Time

it was $650 by the time it was done.

The most recent and last time he got clocked

he was in worse shape, and the wanted 700$

to start and they wouldn't guarantee anything.

Told the vet that we needed to send Wille to

see Allah. The bill for that was $160.

I'm thinking more and more about getting health insurance for my dog.  I've heard a ton of stories about it coming in very handy, and I could not deal with putting my dog down if the only reason I was doing so was financially related.  That would break my heart :frown:

She is a Toy poodle. She isn't around other dogs/cats/ animals because she has napolionic sydrome (For being small they make up in agressiveness). I'm going to be changing all the air condition filters in my house, make a designated smoking room that she wont go in.

m00nshine is currently vacationing in Maui. Rumor has it he got rolled by drunken natives and is currently prostituting himself in order to pay for airfare back to the mainland but he's having trouble juggling a hairon addiction. He won't be back for a long while.
