It didn't come off the top of my head. School knowledge. And it is also based on personal experience with getting an animal high that enjoyed having smoke blown in its ears. Everyone in this thread seemed to put the idea down for no reason at all. They all seemed to say, it doesn't work, end. No one seemed to have any experience or know how in this area. I knew a dog that liked to get high this way, if you consider running up to you whenever you are holding the bong and presenting his ear to you liking to get high, I would. After that he would act a little wound up and then go lay down and go to sleep with red eyes. And the dog, Steve, always came back to get high, he could put his ear near your mouth, he really seemed to want it and liked it. We also blew smoke in his nose and he didn't like that and ran away, however, he enjoyed some ear smoking. Animals are easy to gauge on their reaction, if they don't like it they will run away or struggle or bite you.

ok i tested on myself, i took a straw and put it by my ear, then i took a mad bong rip and blew it through the straw in my ear, i did it a few times and i swear im as baked as ever.

Smoke causes ear infections in babies and young children. Dogs have extremely sensitive hearing to high frequencies, if sensitivity means anything to readers here. Would anyone here like air forced up their nose? I don't think so. Again, the olfactory equipment of dogs can be tremendously more sensitive than humans (ever hear of a Bloodhound?)
Canines experience disorientation from psychedelics, and cannabis is a psychedelic. Here is another case for an insensitive burn-out or simpleton to abuse a domestic pet.

what everyone is failing to mention in this thread is that you dont blow smoke AT(not IN) the dog's ear so that the smoke is actually absorbed through the ear, you do it because when you blow on a dogs ear they respond by jerking their head toward you and snorting (my dog does anyway)
the dogs dont actually get high by inhaling smoke through their ears, they get high because when they spin around and snort they take a hit.

Look people, if you want to get your pets high, do it the humane way. Feed them spacecake or bud-brownies or the like.
They will love you AND remain in intact health, free from harsh administration.

hell yea. my favorite dispensary down the street sells awesome ganja cookies, 3 for 5 dollars. My dog is reeeallly old, has tumors everywhere and bad hips, and sometimes he tells me he has trouble sleeping(he just sits by my bed whining and panting). On nights like this, or when there're fireworks going on and he's freaking out, i just give him a couple cookies and he's chill. I also blow smoke in his face whenever I'm smoking and he happens to be here. My dog pants a lot, especially during the summer. So im sure he's breathing some in. And he likes it, so why not.

Ok I am a big time animal lover. I would never blow smoke into an animals ear or nose till one night I was with my cousin and we were smoking in the garage when his cat came up and my cousin promptly picked him up and gently blew smoke around his face a couple times. He then sat the cat down and the cat went berserk, just literally bouncing off the walls. 10 min. later the cat came back and jumped in my cousins lap and would not leave him alone till he blew more smoke in his face. I was so against it at first telling him to stop your going to hurt the cat, but he kept on saying just watch. This cat knew what weed was and loved it. Every time we smoked in the garage he would come up and sit on your lap, and if you refused to blow smoke in his face the motherfucker would claw the shit out of you. About the ear thing, I worked for a vet for a couple years and we had a cat come in that reaked of pot once. It had a bad ear infection. Possibly just a coincidence I dont know.

I dont know if you can get a dog high or not, They dont have the same nervous system as us and the only reason they seem high is because your high.

Lol, Anything other than feeding him some bud is basically a waste of time and a moment of false happiness and excitment, haha.. I've had friends that have tried that same way, And it's just not gonna work, 100% of any animal I've seen, Turned away, after the smelt it and stopped breathing.
Now putting a small pet in an enclosed area... Lmfao , I saw a cops episode of them bustin in on this dude for somethin, And he had made a bong that he fashioned him self, With a huge chamber in it that his pet cat or someething could fit in perfectly, They didnt even know there was a cat in it cuz it was so fogged out.. Lmfao.
