Ok i was wondering . . .is compost with humus good to use?
Also which would work better with cambodians and equadorians - compost? rice flour? rye? straw? Which . .i was going to use the compost or the brf!

Also i was curious . .i was in home depot and the guy told me vermeculite was discontinued so would perlite be a suitable substitute or was the guy lying cause he was just out of it and i should go find some? Which do u think would better neways: perlite or vermeculite?

now I am pretty new to growing but I know that in substrates and casings you cannot replace vermiculite with perlite, it isn't discontinued I bought some from home depot like 3 days ago.

your first paragraph, all i can say is read the FAQ.

Verm...its seasonal in some locations. My home depot has none right now also, but the Lowes down the street has some. During the spring summer months,you should be able to find verm even at walmart.
perlite is used in mushroom cultivation for humidity purposes only as in a terrarium for example.mushrooms cannot use perlite as a stable growth medium. ie, you gotta use verm.
