How hot does a 250 watt dehydrator get?

Hey guys
Wanting to get myself a dehydrator over ebay. You can't tell from most of the advertisments wether you can controll the heat in them or not. Either way if say I got a 250 watt one and I have bad luck and I can't change the temperature. How hot do you think it would get? would it be ok for drying fruits?

Not sure... but I have a nesco dehydrator that I bought for $25 a couple years ago for Beef Jerky and alot of ppl here use it for there shrooms I've noticed

I saw a Nesco at walmart the other day, it was cheap and let you set temperatures for different foods... had a dial I think.

Hard to predict what temps will happen, but just about any dehydrator should work. If you have a choice, go with the least wattage you can find, and if it's too warm, just disconnect the heating element.

make sure if you use a dimmer switch that its rated for 250 watts or whatever max watts dehydrator is using, i think most should be fine but not sure.

I bought a dehydrator and its got like a dial for how many degrees you want on it. How hot should it be? It says vegitables 135 degrees but i didn't know if that was too hot or not.

The nesco ppl on this board set their's to 95F.

135 should be fine though.

on most dehydrators have diff settings for diff things

if it has an hurb setting it should be fine... i think 90-95F if i remember corectly
