Even pinsets?... What`s the trick?

Im using horse dung mixed with dark rye cakes for substrate and casing with straight verm.. getting some nice shrooms and 2 to 3 flushes but they are not very even pinsets like some of the great pics I`ve seen. Is there some trick to getting a more even pinset?

I think the best trick for an even pinset is to ensure a level substrate surface and a level casing layer. Also patching the first spots of mycelium to pop up makes for more even pinsets IMO>
