Fresh Mushrooms --> Mushy Mushrooms

I picked a few fruits and dried them but not until they were fully dry.....then froze them for 2 days and took them out. There are a few that are a little mushy from not completely drying them out......I am now drying them out again in fron of a fan......will they still be alright....has anyone done this before with success? And are they ok to eat? Only one is kind of bad, it has a darkish color to the stem...but they are getting harder pretty fast. Any suggesstions would be appreciated. Thanks

When mushrooms start to get mushy that means they are starting to rot. They will lose all potency fast...heat or no heat. And they taste a lot worse. Also, when stuff rots, there is always a risk of some sort of dangerous bacteria or mold taking hold of the stuff...I repeat...I would not eat em.

Anyone who eats something rotten, deserves whatever happens to them. Would you put rotten food in your mouth? Use your head.
