3 Questions about Colonization & my subtrate jars

I am a new cultivator and I got 3 spore syringes in the mail today which I ordered from www.sporelab.com I want to note that CaptnMax was very speedy and helpful and answered all questions I had for him.
Anyhow, I innoculated 10 jars and they are all 8oz in size. I wanted to know approximatley how long these should take to fully colonize. The strain I used to innoculate was B+. Here are my concerns:
1. How long does it usually take to fully colonize?
2. The mason jars I used were rounded, how should I take the cakes out once colonized? I do intend to case all of them.
3. When I added the subtrate, I took the "Don't pack tightly" tip seriously and I think maybe I did not put enough in the jars. It is full to the top, but there are pockets of space in the jar, should I be worried about that?
Thanks for all your help, everyone on this board has been great so far!

At optimum conditions about 2 weeks. If the temp is hotter or colder than ~86 longer, or/and If the substrate is too dry/wet longer.
Should have bought tapered. Just use common sense and try not to fuck with them too much.
The way I look at it what's done is done, and you can't do anything about it so don't worry. I don't think it will effect it much any way.
Good luck.

Know any stores that sell Wide Mouth Jars this time of year? I went to Walmart, Zellers, and a couple other stores and they all said that they don't sell mason jars during the winter season and they didn't have any

I got mine at OSH for $7.19 a dozen, but that was a couple of months ago. You could try though. I saw them at Ralphs a little while ago for about 9 bucks a dozen. If all else fails order them online. I got the ball tapered 1/2 pints.

Some of the smaller chain type hardware stores will order them for you.

What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
