I've always heard size does not matter. Really it does not....1/2 pint, pint, quart, 1/2 gallon, gallon???? You have a higher risk of contam. with the bigger sizes, especially if it is your first time. Just keep it as clean as can. Good luck!

go ahead and use the pint jars they work well too. the only reason 1/2 pint are suggested is there is less substrate to colonize, so it may colonize easier. grow out on cakes first them try to case them later, that way you get a feel for it. Im on my first time caseing right now.

full pints take longer to colonize which leaves them open longer to contams.. i'd stick with the 1/2 pinters but if that's all you've got you might as well give it a try.

pint jars are perfectly alright as long as you're not stingy with the inoculation. you have to be rather generous if you want a timely colonization. but once it starts growing, you'll be golden with big jars. no problem. good luck!

Going crazy will drive you mad, but once you get there the rest is easy....All spores are not created equal!!!!!!!!!!! Sporeworks, Hawkseye, PF, they are completely viable with very strong genetics.
