How long can i wait before using Pasteurized Poo???
    #5389089 -

i pasteurized 5 lbs of dry TennStud poo a couple nights ago...
as of now, it's still sitting wrapped in the two oven bags i pasteurized it in. the bag(s) still "sealed" with the rubberbands i initially sealed the bags with. however, there was a bit of leaking (from wherever)...

i had wanted to spawn the very next day, but company keeps coming over and i've been waiting to use it.

i know it was FULLY pasteurized, but a doubled oven bag is a distant second to a hi-grade filter patch/autoclave bag.

is it still safe to use this shit, and if so, how long would you say it would keep for?

i was gonna spawn (like right now) since i got the place to myself for a few hours, but after reading Hyphae's casing tips i'm considering taking a few more steps before i do the spawning
(dunking the cakes for spawn, shredding them and then letting them re-coup before i spawn)

i don't want the poo to go bad, but i want my spawn to be as prime as possible.

on my first spawn run i did six 6.5 quart tubs... did it w/ a 4" sub depth and the ones that have been cased got roughly 3.5"-1" casing layer...
3 did awesome and got cased w/ sterilized coir/verm mix a couple days ago. 2 i lost to total contamination (i DO know why, at least),
and 1 is trying to fight off contams.

i just dont wanna lose 15 lbs of pasteurized poo, and i want my spawn to be as viable as possible...

help?

I would think that as long as it's still sealed and cool, you could use it now.

word.
for those of you who haven't already noticed... i worry incessantly.
i already started crumbling my cakes.
i'm not going with the cheese grater this time. i noticed a good amount of the "grated" myc wasnt able to recouperate itself and the stronger, more viable chunks had to do the colonizing.

i'm sure i'm all good here.
t/y guys
