Pasteurizing poo question

When you're pasteurizing poo and straw you mix them together in a garbage can and add boiling water to it about every 20 minutes in order to keep the temp around 180 right? I'm just wondering how you transport the poo/straw mix into the containers in which you're growing from, because wouldn't the poo mix with the water and become impossible to apply to the container since it's just liquid poo now? Or is it supposed to be like this and you're just supposed to count on the straw taking in the nutrients from the poo?

It seems that one could put them into a container, e.g. a pillowcase.

I once knew a guy who went out onto his porch with a two burner hotplate, a waterbath, a pillowcase containing shit mixed with straw and another pillowcase containing shit only.

This idiot fills the waterbath to the proper level with water then drops in the two pillowcases and puts a brick on top of them. Lastly, he hangs a candy thermometer from the side of the vessel. This insane bastard then sits out there and keeps the water temp. at between 160- 180 F, for one hour.

It gets worse, he waits for this shit (literally) to cool, then he bakes some vermiculite, puts a shallow covering of it onto the bottom of a tin container and DUMPS SHIT/STRAW ONTO IT! Next, he breaks out what looks like a jar of millet covered in white stuff, this asshole then crumbles it onto the layer of shit/straw. Get this: he next smeared a thin layer of the plain shit, from his "plain shit pillowcase", on top of the whole mess, shoved the container into a plastic bag, poked a few holes in the bag and stashed it away.

Hey! I can insult the guy but he's been known to get a bit upset when others do, he doesn't tolerate criticism well...He's big and mean but insecure as hell...I once saw him choke a guy down with a fistful of poo/straw over nothing more than name-calling... :smile:

That idiots got me thinkin.  Where can I buy a hotplate or like a propane tank burner type thing?  Does walmart have one?  I'd have room to move around instead of slaving over a stove.  Plus if I did it outside id be at less risk to contams I guess.

Last night I stared at it for like 15 minutes when I was shit faced. I couldnt decide if i should spend 40 bucks on it without asking you guys first. Can I break that lid thing off the back? I was worried a trash can wouldnt fit on it too well.

That psychotic buddy of mine used a "Broil King" double burner table range...I'll edit if I find one suitable at a cheap price. I think I saw one from another company for $26ish, with two burners. You could likely get by with a single burner.

When he finished pasteurizing, my friend the Idiot grabbed a 45 pound plate off his front porch and used it to hang his two pillowcases over the railing so as to drip the nasty shit water out of doors, in 2 hours they were suitable to take inside and put to use, or so that crazy bastard said...

Check this out! He had about 85+% colonization on his shit layer yesterday, then when he checked back today the damn thing was growing SHROOMS all over! Hell, the son of a bitch had not even cased it, as it was not yet fully colonized. They sprang up overnight. Some were an inch and a half tall. Hell, he just threw the container into the fruiting chamber. I guess the dumb bastard will case AFTER the first flush. Bulk is some POTENT, POTENT, POTENT, POWERFUL...ahh, shit, LOL
