Can poo overlay? Pinning off the poo question!!

With my last completely colonized poo tupeware I'm planning on trying to fruit right off the poo PF style. I plopped out the whole poo cake on a lid, so hopefully I'll get pins from the side.

Here's my question! Can overlay exist on poo? if so wouldn't that inhibit it from pinning, since pins can't form on overlay?

It's been 2 1/2 days and I'm starting to see some primordia... and one even is starting to develop a tiny cap so I'm thinking it'll be okay... but any tips would be much appreciated!!

Anybody else tried plopping out a poo cake and pinning it PF style?

I don't believe poo can overlay. It is kind of like a big cake. The point is compete colonization. The casing layer can be overlayed thoug, which causes the problems. I may be wrong though, so let here some more information.

Looks great man, what was your dry weight on all of that?

I have a couple other tuppewares where I cased the poo and they're starting to pin and all but not like alot all at once!!! I don't know what I did wrong!

Will my 2nd and 3rd flushes make up for my weak 1st flush?

I swear I colonized the casing layer (50/50 + coir mix) perfectly, not too much, not too little... but when it started to pin the mushies came from the edge of the casing! I have now harvest my first 2 mushies and am filling the edges with casing mix better so all of the fruiting efforts come from the middle of the casing layer!!
