Ego Death achievable through flashback?
    #5337017 - 02/25/06 02:22 AM (17 years, 11 months ago)

Recent discussion on flashbacks had me wondering: if ego death can take place on even small doses of psilocybin, it makes sense that the difference between experiencing it or not has just as much to do with being at right time, setting, place, and environment as does the amount of whatever substance you dose.

Therefore I was wondering if theoretically speaking, a heavy flashback could allow one to experience ego loss and/or ego death?

Ego loss/death can take place without any drug ever. It is just a state, or lack of state, of mind...very simply put lol.

I don't doubt that a flashback could help induce a state of ego-loss, however it may not exactly be the flashback, but the stress of the flashback on the brain that causes the ego-loss. In other words its more of an indirect result of the flashback.

This is all speculation based on what I have read and researched. I am just now starting my more indepth study of ego-loss/death, so I have much to learn.

I don't know..but for a reason i have a hard time to explain in eglish, flashbacks for me are kind of the opposite of ego death. Its like really wild games, that are triggered by music and their lyrics. Kinda like lookin deep into the visuals and thinking, while you are on a trip, which is I guess, what keeps one away from ego death.

but i have never had a really intense flashbacks which ressembles very much to tripping, like some say they experience.
