couldn't find "Bacteriostat" so i bought this..

i found this instead..

I recently found out its not very effective especially with grow lights around because the UV light breaks down the H2O2 into H2O (thats why you see the bubbles).  I was recommended Bacteriostat instead..

If anybody has the Holmes "Bacteriostat" could you give it a quick look and compare the ingredients with mine?  Maybe they are just different brands..

bacteriostat is a class of antibiotics that prevents growth of bacterial cells

Alkyl (C12-C18) dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride is essentially a fancy name for one of the active ingrediants of lysol
which is i beleive is labeled as an antifungal

sorry dude, hadn't taken into concideration the UV.
even still, using a higher amount could compensate for the break down.

shitty thing too is this stuff is only for "evaporative" humidifiers so i cant put it into my coolmist.. i guess i go through coolmist water alot faster so maybe i can get away with h2o2 for it, and use this strong shit in very small amounts on my humidifier.. if i fuck anything up ill let the community know not to do it.. (crosses fingers)
