bacteriostatic spore syringe

Just would like to know if anyone has succeed  in doing a spore syringe made of bacteriostatic water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol. Will it make any difference if you use it instead of distilled water or will harm the spores.
Any thoughts?

Give it a try and tell us if it works! Benzyl alcohol is great for killing bacteria but ineffective against mold, it sounds like something worth trying. Heck, I have a bottle of benzyl alcohol, I never thought of this. It does attack plastic, though, so I'm not sure how well it'll work in a syringe, probably shouldn't use it for long-term storage.

I did the spore syringe last night so I think all Ill do is wait and see what happens. Otherwise Next time Ill use distilled water as I was adviced before.
