how far to spore prints go?

i was just wondering how far 1 spore print can usually go. How many mason jars can be inoculated with 1 print? thanks for any info that will help me.

you can make MANY great syringes with a good print.. as for the jars, what size?

well ive seen people say it really doesnt matter how dark a syringe or print is... if theres viable spores theyll germinate. but of course theres another half that think the more spores the better the chance. its all up to you how much you scrape off the print for a syringe. say a decent sized print gives you 4 syringes... take that and say .5cc per hole... 4 holes per jar... i think you get the idea.

buuut yeah just look under the FAQ. im pretty sure they give an approximation there.

I usually make >10 syringes from one print.

yeah you can def make more than 4 from a print, i was just usin it as an example.

hmm as for the holes... well you kinda wanna take a look at the FAQs. youll find all the answers you need there, from start to finish.

I belive he's talking about the holes you would put in the jar cover. Most put about 4 holes in the cover with a nail. The hole is big enough for the needle of the syringe to fit.

I use a filter over the jar then screw on the lid. i only stick the syringe needle n one hole at differnt angles then i tape that one hole leaving 3 for breathing.

first check out pf tek and some of the other teks.THEN when you get to the syringe part ( teks on that also ) i usually get 4 or 5 - ten cc syringes from a print depending on size. good luck !

if you really want a shitload of syringes from a print what you do is make up a few jars of honey water and divide the print into those. You can make one print into well over a hundred syringes. i speak from experience. 1 downside. mycelium syringes must be used MUCH sooner than spore syringes.

all over the place. the one i started with is at mycotopia.net. I believe it WAS originally hippie3's idea. basically 4% sugar to 96% water sterilized. what i do is take 1/2 pints and put in 100ml water (you DO have a cylinder DON'T you?) and then add 4 grams of honey. make sure you have marbles or something in there to break shit up. i pc for 20 minutes at 10psi. after cooling just put some spores in there. I incubate for 3-4 days to get growth going and then refridgerate for storage. you can take syringes that contain sterile water and shoot that in then suck up some myc. water. going like this you can get very many mycelium syringes. it's also a great way to turn 1 spore syring into like 100 mycelium syringes. mycelium syringes bust nuts on grain jars!!
