Best Type of Government

Make an argument for the best type of government for human society. Of course, be sure to defend your answer.
So long as there is a system of control in place, there will be those who disagree with it and go against it. So long as there are people who disagree with it and go against it, there will be a system of control in place. Change needs to occur on an individual level before the ideal government (the lack thereof) may arise.
Thus it is said that morality lays the groundwork for immorality.
"Hippies create police, police create hippies" Ram Dass.
So long as people believe in such distinctions, there can be no ideal government. There can only be a government that is the least obstrusive and immoral. IMO such a government would either be a global direct democracy (although that assumes the majority will always be on the side of "morality"), or a global monarch who is the very embodiment of tranquility and virtuosity.

No government or complete anarchy.
It is really the ideal. But can never be achieved unless everybody lives by the Golden Rule.

The best type of government would be none.
I think a mass communication type government would be the best, right now. Using a small hand held device to log onto a central database allowing us to vote and post information on various topics. You would need a license (pass a test) for a biometric bar code card required to log onto the database, because most people just wouldnt use this power wisely.
I just think we need to replace Congress.

Every system of government is designed with the benefit of society in mind. In this way all systems of government are equal: one does not function better than the other. It's the intention behind their implementation that determines their success. When leaders organize their government with essentially selfish intentions, either at the national level or at the personal level, it is not long before that system is corrupt, and implodes under the weight of it's own hypocrisy. This is true in a democracy as much as in a socialist, autocratic, or theocratic system.

IMO, the best government for human society is the government of the self. In other words, it is not one collective body making desicions on behalf of everyone else.
It is every individual being truly in tune with their own consciousness, with no interference, and governing themselves accordingly.
By no interference I mean no system of "education", no media mind cotrol, no electromagnetic mind control, no big brother or big daddy telling you what you are and how you should think.
This could be the system ruled by compassion that silversoul speaks of.
Pure human spirit, unadulterated by condescending regimes and stifling hierarchies through which a small group of beings can implement an agenda.

I've said this about a million times, and I'll say it a million more if I have to:
"The highest type of ruler is one of whose existence the people are barely aware. Next comes the one whom they love and cherish. Next comes the one whom they fear. Next comes the one whom they despise and defy. When you are lacking in faith, Others will be unfaithful to you. The Sage is self-effacing and scanty of words. When his task is accomplished, and all things have been completed, All the people say, "We ourselves have achieved it!" - Lao Tzu, the Tao Teh Ching, verse 17

The government of "worth individuals", that citizenship be given only to the select few, those who aren't granted citizenship, aren't truly privileged, I call it the privileged society rule,
its much like trying to obtain a degree, or doing a mandatory two year military term, once honored, one can partake in the free automation of the global network, for nothing really will need much work,
once the system is fully integrated, most will partake in whatever desire they wish, which bring about another revolution to the information age, Now that tasks aren't classified under "Jobs", meaning there some real organization for monetary self serving functioning, putting the binds on real aspirations and interests for monetary reasons will be looked as a formality, no longer acceptable, all jobs that serve as gears, will be eliminated, so most jobs will be ordained to thoughs of interest and talent more on the intellectual think tank spectrum, to generate ones thoughts and ideas, based on technical background will be sole generative force of the self life sustaining system,
