Hey guys, I am new and would like to say hello. Also, Do you guys recomend any "kits" that will allow a first time grower to grow stuff without much knowledge and includes everything? maybe even a guide? please let me know. Also if I get a kit what Kind of climate does it have to be put in? could I put it in my basement or closet? or does it have to be in a sunny area.. if it need to be in a sunny area and I would want to grow in my closet.. could I use a light? what kind of light? also very importantly... My basement is very moist, is this a good or bad thing to grow shrooms?
thanks guys.

p.s. read a little before u decide whether u wanna dedicate ur time into it or not.its not as easy as planting a few seeds.and yes mushrooms require a very high humidity level to fruit best.

if you want to grow a small amount and dont want to do really any work except get a syringe of spores, i'd suggest getting a myco bag from www.sporeworks.com

Kits sound exciting but honestly it's cheaper to just go out and buy some jars, vermiculite, brown rice, water, plastic container (for a terrarium) and do it yourself. You'll still need to choose a vendor to buy spores from and getting set up can be done while you wait for your spores to arrive. You don't need a sunny area to grow mushrooms. As for growing them in your basement vs your closet...depends on the temp , what kind of mushrooms you are growing and how you will be growing your mushrooms. You will hopefully be growing your mushrooms in a container of some sort to prevent contamination. Your closet may provide a more controllable environment. There's lots of information in this forum if you use the search feature.
My first growing reference was Psylocybe Fanaticus you might want to try starting there to get an idea.

sorry for the double post.. I would also like to ask what is the difference between a "print" and a "syring".... So whatever spore I buy will come with the needle to grow it?
how easy is this to do? I heard it was much easier to grow than weed and I really want to try this out.

You need to do a lot more reading before asking questions as simple as these.
-------------------- You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it. ~ Adrian Rogers
