Oops, my mistake, fanning begins after spawn run to induce pinning.

The point, though, is that it's not a good idea to expose unclonized bulk subs to the open environment. Especially during summer when the spore count is so high. If there were a way to pump clean air in, that would be the shizola. In the abscence of that, I would start fanning when the bulk sub is fully colonized over the whole surface. If there is a small amount (<5%) of non-surface patches of uncolonized sub, it will probably not be a factor.

We're talking about a DB kit. The spawn run is in the 'terrarium', right? All I'm saying is that I wouldn't leave any air exchange holes open during spawn run. I think that's what you're saying too.

So have you done many db teks? Just curious if you're speaking from experience or relying on your oneness w/ the shroom.
