Addition to Anno's Great Polyfill Tek
    #518668 - 01/12/02 05:07 PM (22 years, 2 months ago)

Without a digital camera to illustrate, this'll be slightly long, but bear with me.

In Anno's tek, the polyfill is spun between the thumb and forefinger and the "sharp end" spliced thru the hole in the top of the jar.

What if one were to take a loop of fishing line; bisect the length of polyfill and use it to pull the whole affair through the hole?

I think the end result would be a tighter section of polyfill wedged into the hole. While I'm not sure if this would only act to restrict the airflow to the point of being counterproductive, I AM sure that it would serve to further limit the ingress of contams.

Whaddya think?

Actually a small firm ball wis forem with TWO hands and several fingers.
Despite the camera it?s hard to show this if one has to hold the camera with one hand to make the photo.

I should have clarified, that the fishing line would be passed as a loop thru the hole in the lid, and the polyfill threaded thru this loop, then the loop pulled thru.

It would give a "double-stuffed" effect.

Ic, sounds like a good idea. Although I must say the polyfill is in the holw very tightly allready. I will try your idea to see which way is easyer.
