Hi, I just looked at this polyfill tek on fungifun.org an was wondering how u would inoculate the jars using that method
Oh yeah, and do u have to have a drip sheild when u spray into the terrarium holding cased subtrate or is the perlite good enough? Do u just spray into the air over the casings and not worry about settling larger water droplets that provide good accomidatins for contams? Will the stronger mycelium network established with the casing fight off the contams from the water droplets

When it comes
I'll know, I know
Just take my clothes and leave
And I'll be gone

Insert needle between polyfill and the hole in the lid or you can poke another hole and tape it up.
I find that you do not need perlite when using casings, just mist the casings. Water droplets won't hurt the casings, you can pick up little puddles of water with a Q-Tip.

casings don't need as high of a relative humidty as cakes, perlite should be sufficient as long as you use the correct depth for the size of terranium you are using. if you notice the casing IS drying out, it is ok to go ahead and lightly mist, then try to raise to your humidty if possible.

just fill your spray bottle 3/4 full with DISTILLED water, and fill it up the rest of the way with hydrogen peroxide solution and you will not have to worry about contams.
***note that light breaks down hydrogen peroxide into oxygen and water so try to keep it in a closet where its dark most of the time, and add more hydrogen peroxide as the water level in your bottle drops. i am not by any means an expert but i hope this helps. good luck!
