for all those who case directly in a rubbermaid or like container, and specifically who use dung can you give some tips or advice or please pm me?

It works great. The only thing I would do differently is maybe put a whole at the bottom for drainage and plug it up with something. I noticed my last dung based substrate produced tons of condensation. It will keep the humidity up on its own.Anyways, alot of condensation does collect at the bottom. This never caused any problems, but it wouldn't hurt to have a drain plug!

the plug your looking for is called a livewell plug.get'em at any camping or boat store. they're for boats.
