Wow, three weeks is a pretty long time without signs of pinning. How do they look? Fluffy? Dry? I have to wonder if they have somehow dried out. Maybe try covering the cakes with saran wrap, as Mycotek suggest to help raise the rh. Three weeks is the absolute limit that I like to wait to see pins.

don't look at them for 4 days. (aka what Anno said) also wet paper is not the greatest thing to have your cakes sit on. many contams can grow on wet paper. especially when its near a source of other nutrients as well.

peace, ar393

Cut and case...

The cake is probably too dry to fruit (I ran into the same problem recently with a cake). Take the cake and a sharp knife, cut the cake into small pieces and crumble it all into a small baking tin (from local grocery store). If you have the right tin, the cake should fill up most of it (1 1/2 inches). Then case with 50/50 (50% Verm/50% Peat Moss) or just with verm if you don't have access to peat moss.

Cover the cake with about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of casing. Cover with tin foil and wait a couple day for the mycelium to grow into the casing. Then expose to the light cycle. Worked for me, fruited much more than just a birthed cake in a terrarium.

Try this, it's easier than it sounds and it's good experience.
