There is a mouse in my room. What do I do?!

I heard it a few days ago and then today I saw it run accross my room and under my bed. I thought I wouldn't mind having a mouse, but after seeing it I'm pretty scared. I don't want it crawling on my face when I sleep. :frown: But I also don't want to kill it. If I catch it humanely and set it free, it will die outside, it's freezing here. If it doesn't die it'll probably come back inside. What can I do with this mouse?! :confused:

Put it on a leash and place a piece of cheese just out of its reach. That could be entertaining for a while.

Stomp it. Drop a brick on its head. Cut it to pieces with scissors.

Don't worry there is probably a whole family of mice in your house already.

Make a livetrap and...set it loose somewhere.

The mice used to nest in the stove in the summer kitchen where we canned tomatoes. They really stunk up the place when the stove was turned on.

go to the store and buy a mouse trap. i can understand not wanting to kill an animal but the device does it for you. ha. but seriously just kill it, its not like its an endangered species

This is what I wanted to do originally, but I live in Canada and it's very cold here. Minus 13 celcius now, and gets to minus 30 or 40 later. Will it die?

I know, it's just a common mouse, but when I used to live with my parents, they had a mouse trap once and it's not a nice sight. I know it's supposed to kill the mouse quickly by snapping it's neck, but I can't handle watching the poor thing twitch after dying. It's so sad. :frown:

I would set that up but use real cheese instead of the plastic one.

Eather that or i could come over with a bb gun and go on a mouse safari!

havahart literally buy a havahart rodent trap its a live trap small, wire, box shaped get some pecans and put them in it where u think he may be hidin, works get, used it when i had like ten hampsters get loose, look for them at hardware stores or wildlife,camping hunting stores they work great and come in diffrent sizes so u can even catch stray dogs and cats if they are a problem, rambling, sorry but check out these havahart traps there great!

Try to catch it with a livetrap, and set it outside, a ways away.. where I'm working, it's pretty cold (-20c) and there are mice everywhere. They can hack it!

Trust me on this one, no one ever has "a mouse" - they have mice.

If you see one, you can be sure there's at least 5-10 more that you aren't seeing.

We thought we had "a couple mice", once. Then I got a cat and it started catching 5-6 mice a week for the next month or so. Then...no more mice :smile:
