HOW TO GET JARS TO COLONIZE FAST!!! REAL SIMPLE

take duffel bag and turn it on its side with the flap open. put jars that have been innoculated inside, pin flap to heat vent in the room, keep heat at about 80. not so its blasting on them, but so its warm in the bag. i got jars to go from innoculation to 1/2 colonized in a week! yay!!!!!!

Ya gotta be careful with dry heat, it can dry your substrate.

Better idea: if you can dedicate a small room to your project and keep the temp up to 80 then you can jsut set your jars on the table. You don't need the hot air blowing on them.

my jars sit in the same box in which they came, ontop of a legal size pad, on top of my computer--which never gets turned off.

between the pad of paper and the cardboard of the box, it's an even 84F--all day, all night. You can set your watch to it.. .

Totally unnecessary, two weeks isn't that fast, should be ten days max. Just build a water incubator man, it will save you so much stress! I love mine, i can keep my room at fruiting temps and the incubator stays at a constant 84 degrees. Never had 1 problem.

i think your substrate will dry out too fast with this method but to each his own.

incubators are useful if your temps are like 40 - 50F, you don't need them if your room holds at least 70F.

i use the cupboard above my fridge and put my freshly cooked jars in there close to my inoculated ones if its cold, but right now its summer and my fridge keeps it warm enough to incubate without trouble, plus that cupboard is useless to keep food in unless you want to get on a stool every time you want to eat lol.
