well, you understand that it could be convincingly argued that this does or does not relate to s and p, depending on who you asked.

when im asked to define spirituality, i usually say something like

"spirituality opens us to new and previously unknown levels of reality and allows us to experience reality in its fullness"

in my oppinion, lucid dreams are one of the most powerfull tools for doing that, right up there with meditation and psychadelics.

I just used the sex title to get peoples attention, as well as to point out something that many people dont realize: lucid dreaming experiences can be just as real as waking life experiences.

i feel that if people truly grasped that, they would all be lucid dreaming.

plus, there have been dozens of lucid dreaming threads before in this forum, so i figured why not

that's a perfect description, i need to remember that, usually when i try to define spirituality to myself or to others, i'm left without any words that are able to grasp the concept.

Anyone ever look at their hands in a dream? Mine get all flashy and shakey, its very weird.

Also, if you are starting to get lucid, try spinning around in circles, this will increase your lucidness enough to go do something fun for awhile.

Flying is definitly the best thing to do IMHO. Just jump out a window and try to swim in the air at first. Once you get the hang of that, you can just imagine a force pushing you around the sky to make you move. Messing around with gravity is also a weird experience.

Dreams are your free playground!

one of the best ways to maintain lucidity and build dream control is to look first at your hands, then at your surroundings, then right back at your hands, then right back at your surroundings, for as long as you can.

finding your hands in your dreams is a great first step for lucid dream practicioners

ive heard that. personally i find the above hand technique better, or else just shouting out loud "increase lucidity now!'

When you do look at your hands, do they look all distorted though?  I've only done it a handful of times, and everytime that I look at them, they are all flickering and moving.

Sometimes when I am about to jump out of a windown or off a roof, its hard to determine whether I am dreaming or not.  Its like a life or death situation. if I'm not dreaming, I will die; but if I am, it is going to be fun as hell.  I always end up jumping anyway :wink:

Your thread reminded me of that character Tom cruize played in Magnolia selling his shovenistic ideal called seduce and destroy..
I've had some wierd sexual dreams.. Like one time I was staying over at a girls house we ended up passing out in her bed.. I started dreaming that we were making out hard core and it seemed totaly real then once I tried to mount her I woke up and we were just laying there in her bed.. I told her about the dream the next day and we had sex.. Sometimes dreams come true..
I just had an extremely erotic dream that was like a replay of an actual experience I had at a burning man decompresion party where there was plenty of nakedness and open sexual exploration taking place.. In my dream I could make out with just about any one of my friends without much dificulty.. Pretty shallow but yeah it was a great dream..

Interesting thread, I've (so far I can say unsuccessfully) tried lucid dreaming, but due to my unalert morning state, forget to write down my dreams.

www.ld4all.com offers quite a few good tips, btw.

In due time, I have my hermit binges where I lock myself inside the house for about a month and a half and dont have much of a social life. Barely answer my cellphone, and just use the shroomery as a quick source of a social outlet. I usually get a lot done during this time and settle a few introversive conflicts, personal battles that I cant approach due to the fact that I focus too much on what's going on around me and dont pay attention to the inside. Besides, Im not really missing out on much ... pre-december is when everyone is just starting to get all wintery-depressed, with their melatonin levels skyrocketing. I've already got my tales for this year of my quests and adventures through psy-trance parties and caves, getting out now will just waste my time with mundane, meaningless conversations.

And dont talk to me like you know me, brudda.  :smirk:

Yeah, I had the same. I could not have sex in my dreams before I had real sex. Does everyone have this? Interesting.

I can do many things I've never done in my dreams, but not sex before I had sex. 


same here.... sometimes the women turn into REALLY WEIRD THINGS..... like..... i'll have sex with them and they turn into really tiny dolls, and their proportions get all messed up.

usually i can't even get in their "vaginas" it's like i'm ramming something solid........ maybe i'm humping the bed? it sucks whatever it is.

have you read about hand phenomenon in dreams? If not, then that's neat.... but if so... well.. either way.... looking at your hands and seeing if they "melt" or act up is a method of reality checking.

word... that is awesome..... one time i was at knott's berry farm in this restaurant, and ended up on top of this huge tower, i was about to jump off and then it struck me "what if i'm not dreaming" .... i decided I was dreaming and off I went.

fun!

It'd be funner if I knew what skydiving was like, or if I jumped off a diving board or something.

anyway, the best dream stabilization i've found is to focus either on or between the throat and heart chakras (just think of the general area of your body)

now, the dalai lama said.... that if you focus on the throat, it enhances your dream vision, and the heart gives you deeper sleep.

For me, if I focus on the throat, the dream vision goes "quirky" and I start to wake up, and if I focus on the heart it takes me into a "deeper dream" or sometimes to sleep...... and I focus in between if I can't find a right balance, and I focus on the third eye if I can't see right.

But I haven't experimented enough. What I think this holds as an advantage to spinning, etc... is that it gets you to relate your BODY to your MIND... becuase on the one hand you are dreaming, but when you focus on the chakras, generally you have some sensory input from your BODY so I think in time you could condition yourself to fall asleep focusing on the throat to start immediately lucid dreaming...... whereas you can't fall asleep spinning around in circles.
