newbie: fish tank heater problem

the only fish tank heater available isnt fully submersible, is there anyway I can rig this up to rubbermaid containers to make an incubator without starting a fire. if the answers on this site (I havnt found it), please just PM me a link. Thank you for your time.

Try other stores. There are fully submergable ones. Try petco, walmart, dont know, you just need a fully submergable one.

Yep, fully submersible is the only way to go. They can be had for $15 on up. This is the one I use...

Petsmart has PLENTY of fully submersilbe kinds, they don't carry the hang-on-the-side types anymore

My local location doesn't anyway..

ya man i dont know about using a hanign heater.. could be a safty hazard.. you only need like a 5-10 gallon heater to.. atleast thats what ive been using..

you could make a heat bomb i think it's called but it's only for a couple jars not a lot.
