Re: I'm going to the doc tomorrow, how do I ask... [Re: theuser]

This sounds like a situation where you're at high risk of unknowingly developing emotional dependency.

Also, the rolling stones did a song that relates noticeably to this. "Mother's Little Helper". Check it out, it puts a common-sense yet commonly-ignored spin on the subject of using pills to try and make life more tolerable.

never admit to drug use to any doctor or legal person. It can end up in a permanent record and that's not good.

If a doctor told police about a patient's drug use he could stand to be very disgraced within the medical community.

In the united states there are laws which require doctor-patient confidentiality. A doctor can not be used to testify as to your criminal activity as it pertains to what he learns as your physician. The reason this law exists is because it is best for health concerns for patients to feel safe enough to inform their doctors of their health concerns despite legal implications. There are many drugs that you should probably let your doctor know about if you take them. Especially if you have Rx medications which have potential to conflict with them.

And hell, if you have an addiction problem and want to find a way to get some support, your doctor is a good person to ask about finding it.

Doctors are there to help, and so far things have been kept so as to make sure they stay helpful. Even if the doctor didnt want to help, which is unlikely, he's in no position whatsoever to be able to do any harm. Trust your doctor, it's for the best.

Your doctor may make judgements given the info, but it won't affect his performance as your doctor. And if you want to have drugs as a part of your lifestyle you're going to wind up dealing with a few people who judge you because of it.

Konnrade I love your sig.

I'm not sure where this "emotional dependency" stuff came from, if I don't need anti-anxiety pills, then who does? I start worrying about stupid shit, I start to shake, hot/cold sweats and my teeth will chatter no matter what the temp at the time.

But I will tell the doc these symptoms and let him decide. Thanks for warning me about SSRI's, I will make sure he doesn't perscribe me those and NO anti-depressents those fucking things make a person whacky!!! Well I once took..paxil?... and I was acting pretty goofy after a week of taking them even my friends noticed and were concerened. So none of those.

Sorry about going off lastnight I was freakin out again.

I'll letcha know what happens.

That sounds good but we conspiracy theorists know that all the free pens that doctors get have motion detectors implanted in them by the DEA. They know everything they ever write!! OMG
