I'm going to the doc tomorrow, how do I ask...

I'm a pretty fucking high stress guy. It's just who I am. Weed is great for stress but it also makes me retarded so I can't work on it. I just need something that mellows me out.

I'm going to a family doc tomorrow for the 1st time in...a very long time. I want to ask him for something to mellow me out.

I have a feeling that, "Hey I'm a very high stressed guy, do you have anything to mellow me out once in a while?" isn't going to work...or will it?

I'd rather be honest with him and just tell him that I'm always freakin out and I just need something to calm my nerves.

Thank you, I didn't want to have to lie to him. Should I mention that I use to smoke pot/did a lot of dxm/lsd/lsa/shrooms? I'm going in for a physical/check up...

Don't mention prior drug use... then they blame your problems on that. Atleast that's how it happened for me.

never admit to drug use to any doctor or legal person. It can end up in a permanent record and that's not good.

He'll want to stick you with an ssri first. Don't get on that mind control shit. Tell him you have a friend that dosen't like it, and you wont take it.
There are certain criteria to qualify for good anti-anxiety medication.
Exagerate just a wee bit. You have "panic attacks" alot, how often? a few times a week. That will get you some xanax, or some klonipan.
Whatever you do, don't get dependant on it. The addiction, and withdrall can be horrible.

Perhaps you should look at the root problems of your stress and go from there? In my opinion, popping pills will only make the problem worse. You'll become dependent on them, if you're taking them as a "cure."

Then they had better get in the 21st century. Also most browsers now (and most forums) load avatars and sigs last. I might as well be an asshole and also mention that most browsers "feed" gifs, as in you will watch it while it's still loading.

Ty for letting me vent, just had a verbal argument w/ the wife. All of which was my fault and if I had been slightly stoned or doped up one way or another, wouldn't have happened.

I am also tackling that, but very old habbits die hard. The basic way I...think and act... comes from crazed out abusive hippy parents.

Most of it comes from work, no work, no shelter and food. :frown:

I prob should have put this in the health forum, if a mod wants to move it that would be great.
