drying without a fan?

Yes I know dry with a fan #1 rule but out of curiosity, what if u took newspaper took wet mushies placed them inbetween the newspaper and place a book or 2 on top and let sit, would that dry them efficent enough although im assuming it would take 2 days or so. Or airflow is a MUST for mushies? Basically is there anyway to actually dry mushies without a fan/dehydrators/desiccants?

i would have to say that wouldnt be a very good idea. with no air flow they would just start to rot. you can put them near a fan? or a container with some discant in it? you going for stealth?

I would just lay them out in a single layer and turn the over once or twice a day this has worked for me in the past If the mushies are very large or thick I would split them in halves or quarters longways this will ensure that the inner parts of the fruits dry as well as the outside it takes about a week to get them cracker dry

You could also lay them out in a single layer and place a black teeshirt over them then hang a 60watt lightbulb about2-three feet above them this gives them uust enough heat to dry them cracker dry in about 24 hours I have done this a number of times in the past and there is no notaceable loss of the magic compared to desiccant dried mushies and works great if you are in a hurry

You can lay them out on top of newspaper...

and they will dry out in a couple days...

depending on the humidity of the area that you live in.
