Dessicant Drying Question

Ok, I found a good airtight container and some dessicant "Dri-Z-Air" at a local store. I plan to just barely (due to little shroom count) cover the bottom of the container and seperate the mushrooms about a 1/2 inch above with tinfoil with holes poked in it. Since they are 90% dried (fan dried) I dont see an excessive water pool building up. Will this work fine?

Once upon a time this dude found that he likes to dry his shrooms using dessicant and no fan. He used damprid brand and found that spreading it out in a container about 3/4" thick with as much surface area as possible works best He placed 1 paper towel down over the damprid and lays the shrooms on top. They are cracker dry in 2 days.

The easiest way to dry mushrooms:

Buy an airtight chamber (cooler, etc.) only big enough to handle what you'll be putting in it. Hell, buy a few just in case. The trick is, the less airspace in there, the better the dessicant will work. It'll dry the mushrooms instead of a bunch of humid air.

But, the big thing is to carefully select what you're putting the mushrooms on. Putting on foil with holes in it can result in small pools of water. Not so good. I suggest going to the hardware store and buying a few feet of plastic window screen. I say again, PLASTIC. Looks just like screen door material. I bought black plastic mesh screen b/c that's all the store had. No worries about reactions, rust, pooling, etc. Plenty of holes for air and moisture to pass through, so no rotting.
