Incubation Question
    #474869 - 11/30/01 01:50 PM (23 years, 14 days ago)

Murtle the Turtle's jars are covered with filter discs. They are in the incubator, incubating. My question is, Would it be beneficial to cover the jars with aluminum foil due to the moisture that is forming inside the incubator? Or will the filter discs provide protection from the moisture?

the filter disks will not provide protection from teh moisture. you do not need or even want a barrier between your air and moisture at all, that is the pupose of the disks. unless its dripping on them dont worry. flipping them over might help though.

Be afraid! Be very afraid!
No seriously I have this same problem with dripping and whatnot on my filter discs...I just put a layer of aluminum foil over the jars after I check on them, air is still exchanged, but those big drops of water dont go dripping in there.
