Lack of Common Sense

Does anyone else notice a rash of lacking common sense in other people?

A couple of weeks ago, i was returning bottles and cans at those machines in Wegmans, and a lady went up to the machine next to me. she tried to put a bottle in the can slot. mind you, there's a HUGE sign that says CANS ONLY and a picture of a can on it, yet she keeps trying. her son comes in, and she tells him it's broken...So he tries to put the same bottle int he same hole. Then they call an attendant, and HE tries it.

has anyone else seen anything else like this?  :scaredturtle:

There was a lady who waited 5 minutes for 10 cents deposit for two bottles while I stuffed the recycle machine.  I would have let her in if she had asked.  If I had a dime I would have paid her.  I thought she was being stupid as there was another machine that took glass that was empty.  It turns out that machine was broken.  I felt bad but it may have been more like 4 minutes and besides I was there first.

But yeah there are some knuckleheads out there.  Glue a quarter on the ground at Safeway and watch the fun.  :grin:
