does fear get you killed or does lack of it

I'm interested in some opinions on that oh so important concept. Does a man with his balls up higher than his chest get shot down before the man with fear who avoids confrontations and breaks down and asks mercy.

I was chased by haitians in the main city charlotte amalie when my girlfriend and I got some cocaine for free in a bar and mixed it with alcohol, to form a stronger drug. With such confidence at 2am, we walked the 4-5 or so miles down to the beach where the african slaves lie like lions waiting on tourist prey. The war isen't on drugs... the war is on the causes that influence people to abuse drugs. drug-abuse is a by-product of the system and much like radioactive waste occurs from utilizing nuclear power, drug addicts with drug-problems will need to be properly disposed of, like the decaying radioactive waste produced from nuclear energy. -i2ancid

i think its somewhere in the middle personally. To say one has no fear blinds one to the fears they have hidden from themselves. This question goes alot deeper then that though. Ever notice once you lose your fear of something (completely, as in poof i dont care anymore at all) it disappears from your life? Thats how it is for me anyways. I think fear is an energy like any others, and if you put that energy into something, it will come back to you. If you put any other kind of energy in it will be the same.

Effective communication flows only one way: from master-group to servile-group. Any cyberneticist knows that such a one-way communication channel lacks feedback and cannot behave "intelligently." the principle of authority" was the "eminently theological, metaphysical and political idea that the masses, always incapable of governing themselves, must submit at all times to the benevolent yoke of a wisdom and a justice, which in one way or another, is imposed from above." "no one should be entrusted with power, inasmuch as anyone invested with authority must . . . became an oppressor and exploiter of society."

both. someone who lacks wisdom but has plenty of courage runs the risk of getting killed as does someone who is too fearful.

Good question...
When it comes to me personally, fear is more terminal.

Fear is good, it keeps you on edge. It reminds you if you make a mistake, you will pay the price. You have to focus that enegry, channel it, for a good use. Situational dynamics will dictate which of the two roles you should play. Whichever will most likely leave you safest. You have to use your mind. It is one of your two most prized asset.

Only if he doesn't take training and education seriously......The mind and body are tools you must keep in peak form.

I am easily overwelmed by fear. Therefore, I've decided not to fear fear.
I appreciate it, but I'm not afraid of it. I don't care about risks anymore, as long as I am not afraid. My life is like a transmutable thing that puts on a show for my benefit. Fear doesn't matter anymore. I will do whatever, and not fear.

$0.02...
During my most recent psychedelic experience, in this case with 2C-B, I found myself encountering directly a lot of my most basic fears. What seemed apparent to me was that my fears were an obstruction not only to my view of reality, but also to the enjoyment and meaning I've so far been able to derive from it it. To be fearful, it was revealed, is to be in the very embrace of death.
2C-B is a fantastic little molecule.
