agar cultivation - easy!

my wookie friend is annoying me to put this message, he wants to share his last experience results and help new shroomers to improve their skills. he has bought some agar supplies (didnt spend more than us$15) and made his first batch last week - 5 120x20 petris and 3 test tubes (ran out of medium to fill the rest of glasses, dumb wookie). of these, all were innoculated with endangered strains that he had.. all were pieces of partially colonized/contamined cakes of some different strains... results... 1 petri lost to stinky yellow bacteria. no test tubes lost (yet).
my wookie now doesnt knows why he thought agar culture was very difficult thing. he is very happy now because he saved 3 strains from dying in his hands. you know, sometimes the ol and good PF tek isn't good enough, with agar tek a single print goes unlimited and the shroomer goes happy. give it a try!

he says also that he has already isolated his first strain, tested and approved... =)

my problems with agar were as follows:

refigerated strains didn't seem to awaken well

spores didn't germinate well (or at all. 5 different syringes used, and they were tested)
