Pictures is fuzzy, I believe it is a Blue Candle Cactus ( Myrtillocactus geometrizans), here are some clearer pics, is this it ? I have a cluster of three that are now about 16" tall, I love um, so cute ! They are columnar cacti just as san pedro are, and ( for me ) grow alot faster , they are nice plants, and do contain the alkaloid, In negligable amounts, I would however, just leave it grow  -Tranceharper

Not a problem, My Camera died , and so even pics like that are better then what I can do now  I really do like the blue candle cacti , all and all, If I get more cacti, which probobly wont happen for some time ( I have alot ) I will get more of these , the cluster I have are a very rich blue color , and grow fast as I said , I need to repot them, they came in a plastic pot with what appears to be a mix of Coir ( cocunut fiber ), preilite , pumice, and sand , they grow well, but the coir holds alot of moisture :/ and about two weeks ago , I turned over the planter to find a mushroom growing out of the hole in bottem, no idea what it was, a bright banana yellow , the medium was dry however . What did yours come planted in ? -Tranceharper

Different Genus completely, I believe these are native to the deserts near Chichuaha mexico , the blue candle cactus , or 'whorlberry' also produces a small edible fruit . And from what I have read, their propigation is not as simple as cut, dry , plant , and water , could be wrong . Otherwise I just treat these as I do Trichocereus , They do as I said, apparently grow much faster then Tricho's -Tranceharper
