San Pedro from Home Depot: good source?
    #2680543 - 05/15/04 01:18 AM (12 years, 6 months ago)

Pretty soon I'm gonna give mescaline a try.  I've been looking around online vendors, and it seems that the home depot right around the corner has the best deals on pedro.  Should I save myself a few bucks and buy the pedro there, or should I order some from an online vendor?  Can I be sure that the stuff I'm getting from home depot is in fact real San Pedro?  I'd say thats my biggest concern.

I held one of those babies in my hand today, gosh I just wanted to take her home :sun:

First off, the majoprity of family oreinted plant and garden shops may carry san pedro buyt they really do not know the cati by that name. They either call them cereus, which is also a cacti for grafting which kinda resembles san pedros or they could actually have a san pedro with a common american name.

In Florida in the 1979 I saw some in a large gardenstore at a mall. They had some and I sk if they were mescaline cacti and the girl said I think they are called cereus.

Yes it swas a cereus cacti but not thrichocereus pachanoi whic is a differnet famiuly of cacti than Cerius.

they are available at home depot. that is where i had got mine. but they also have a shit load of lookalikes. so you need to have some good identification skill or it could just be a gamble. if you do find one they are usually at a very good price. my reccomendation would be to order a cutting from an online source and grow till harvest. that way you're 100% positive of the strain your getting and you have a selection between several types of Trichocereus cacti.

peace

When in doubt, obtain it. even if it's something else and it just sits perched on your windowsill, that's fine. plants are really cool to have in your house, they make it so hospitable.
