how do i use this pressure cooker?

i just got Presto 8-quart pressure cooker, it doesnt have a gauge just that thing on the top of te vent, now how do i use it, im gonna be using bird seeds in 1 pint jars with mircon magic filter disks.

Just seal the lid on, biol on high till you hear and see steam venting out. change heat to medium and let it stay ther boiling till the time is done. start timeing once it starts to vent, that means it's up to 15 psi. for seed keep it on for a full 90 min.

what kind of seeds should i buy? should i buy those ones that are small yellow grains? or somethin else?

yes, the small yellow ones (millet) it can have other seeds in there to but it's not optimal to have them.
dont get any seed that is "nutritionaly fortified" or has little green pellets in it. they will mess stuff up.
