Incubator Question

Hello everyone, I'm new to the cultivation forum and in turn am starting up a new hobby.  I've been doing a lot of research on the various methods of cultivation, etc, etc...  As far as incubators go I've decided on the cutless incubator TEK as I've read many good things.  Yesterday I went out and picked up some supplies for said incubator.  I bought two rubber maid 3gal, 11.3L tubes as I will only need to incubate roughly 12 jars.  I also purchased a Visi-Therm Submersible Aquarium Heater.  It is 25Watts and is "ideal for up to 8 gals" of water.  Now I tested out my setup yesterday and my incubator was not reaching optimum temperatures.  As we speak I am letting it heat up again and will monitor it throughout the day.  I'm worried that my problem is that I bought a weak heater and need more wattage, but I'm not sure.  I've done some searching around the forums and have come up empty handed as to how many watts are suggested for this TEK.  Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated and thank you all in advance for your time.  If you'd like I could post some pictures, but I have class soon so I won't be able to do so till later this afternoon.  Thanks again everyone, happy shrooming  :thumbup:

may i ask why are you doing a T.I.T Incubator?
is your current room tempature below 80 or over 90F?

If its at a normal 80 degree in your room, you should be able to just throw the jars in a shoebox or even just in a closet.

T.I.T Incubators are generally good for people who have temp problems.
Oh well, everything looks and sounds good though

Well...my room isn't at 80 degrees no, and I don't particulary want my room to be that hot. Worst case I coud turn the Thermistat up and make it that hot I suppose, but I would have trouble sleeping at night, I like it cooler anyway...

Well I came back from class and about 3+ hours of having my setup running, and the heat inside the actual incubation "chamber" (The top rubber maid container) is barely noticeable. I tried re-setting it up with slightly more water and turning the thermostat on my heater all the way up to 89 degrees, as well as warm water to start with... We'll see how it goes. I apologize for not actually having a thermometer, but I will have one later today so I can get an actual temp reading. I'm concerned my heater is too weak seeing as its only 25 watts. The one used in the actual TEK from the FAQ section on the shroomery appears to be a 50 watt, as well as a completely different brand of heater... any suggestions?
