Thanks for sharing.

Chris Robinson??!!! WTF is that all about? I can't stand that guy! I guess his choadiness appealled to Phil. We may go to the Atlanta shows, but I am skeptical about his performer line up. I love Jimmy Herring, but come on, Phil! You can do better than the rest.

Molo is VERY badass on drums...

and we all know Jimmy Herring can shred it up on guitar!

As far as Chris Robinson goes...not my first choice. But hey, I am not complaining, this is the first fresh dose of the dead around these parts in a while...so my arms are open to anything.

yeah, but reading is close enough to philly for all of those people who live in the burbs of philly (like me), and that also means I have a show in philly and NYC to look forward to in feb. both are pretty close.

I'll probably be at the one in reading

You gonna catch any of these shows? What do you think about Chris Robinson playing? They better not let him sing. That would be awful!

I'll be seeing my first 3 P & F shows this winter. I'm very excited.

Ratdog is also planning a fall/winter tour and already have some dates announced. I'll definitely be seeing a few Dog shows as well.

Singing will be his main function in the band like in last December's Warfield run. I don't even think he will play guitar. His voice works well for the more bluesy songs but I don't think it works too well for other songs. Hearing him sing a song like Help on the Way is...um...different.

You can download soundboards of those shows here:

They have Chris Robinson but other than that the lineup will be quite different for this tour. I miss the good old quintet Phil had going for quite some time-- Molo, Herring, Haynes and Barraco. Those were good times. But that's what Phil & Friends is known for-- constantly recreating themselves. Why keep doing the same thing year after year? I suggest people see at least one of these shows. I'm so stoked. Phil never disappoints.
