I watched fear and loathing in las vegas last night after smoking a giant water bong. I had seen the movie before but when I was blazed it was so much cooler. I didnt even notice till last night all the camera tricks they do. For example, when he is smoking that lightbulb. (by the way, what does that do to you? why was he hitting a lightbulb?) I remember watching it for the first time when I was sober and I couldnt understand some parts, but last night I understood what the director was trying to convey.

My first time watching that movie was stone cold sober at 6 Am and I had to put the closed captioning on cause my mom was asleep in the next room.
They say shit in that movie you never hear and it's so funny. Well I guess you could hear it...but I feel like I wouldn't have.

actualy i'm reading it right now... and i have to say the movie is pretty close to the book
just makes me respect johnny depp even more!
and of course H.S Thompson for actualy coming up with this crazy trip report!
reading this book reminds me of many trip reports i've read... you can almost feel "the FEAR" just reading his thoughts!

It IS an excellent read, but it isn't true gonzo journalism; 'Fear and Loathing' went through multiple re-writes.
