GREEN MOLD ON ALL MY JARS, HELP!!!!!!

I am a newbie, I prepared 6 1/2 pint jars BRF/Verm substrate. Doused my dorm room in lysol, pressure cooked all jars at 10 p.s.i. for one hour, and I also flamed the syringe tip and then used an alcohol swab in between innoculations. I innoculated the jars with 2 cc's total in 4 spots. The strain was B+, and the spores were from lil shop of spores. I also used micron magick filter discs instead of the lids. I pressure cooked with the mmfd's on and some water appeared to get in, cuz there was slight condensation on the inside of the jars. Nothing major though, so after innoculation I put another filter disc over the first one with the holes in it. Then I screwed the band on tight. They were put in a 10 gallon glass aquarium with towels on the bottom and top. A heating pad was placed on top on the "low setting". Nothing happened for 3 days. I went to bed last night and there was no sign of mold or mycelium. This morning I woke up and on day 4 all 6 jars were covered in GREEN MOLD!!!! ARRRGGGHHH. Is there anything I can do to salvage my jars? More importantly, what caused the green mold in all my jars???? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

A number of things you did could have caused the failure. First, 10 psi is not enough to kill everything in the jar. Try to use 15 psi. Second, you said you added another fd after sterilization. To do this, i assume you had to take the other fd and band off the jar. Tsk. Tsk. They shouldn't be opened until colonization is almost completely done. When you say all the jars were covered, it leads me to think it was incomplete sterilzation. A bad syringe will usually show some green (or whatever color) along with the germinating mycelium at the innoc pts. and not cause the entire jar to be covered immediatly, which incomplete sterilization will cause.

I didn't take the first filter disc off, just the band. The fd after pcing kinda molded to the shape of the jar. Then after innoculation I just placed it on top of the other fd and put the band back on.

You can safely assume that since all of them contam'd with the same mold, the problem was ineffective sterilization; address that issue before complicating anything else. Usually, if you have a bad transfer setup [seal switching, etc], it won't all go at once like that. Esp. with PF jars--if things are sterilized correctly, you're more likely to see one of two things; Mold growth from the top-down. Mold/bacterial growth along syringe injection lines.

I did the same thing you did with the filter disks and it worked pretty well. i inoculated 36 jars and lost 1 to green mold that was coming from the top, but i think that jar got contaminated cause the lid had a lot of water on it and i took the water off with an unsterile napkin. I know that was pretty dumb but i don't really care i still have 34 more jars. 1 isn't colonizing for some reason. i think i used the last of my spore water on it and there probably wasn't enough spores. I pced at 15 psi and i can set the temp on my cooker its electric. so i set it exactly 250. sorry to hear about your loss. my advice would be to sterilize everything you work with with alchohol and or flame. spray lysol everywhere. I was a little excessive and took a shower before i did anything and i wore latex gloves and a dust mask. Mine or goin pretty well. try it. good luck

1 hour @ 10 psi is not enough to kill mould spores.
90 mins @ 15 psi is the recommended norm. Also your prints may have been possibly contaminated from the beginning. Green mould or Trichoderma is extremely prevalent!
