My cat had a pfjar that was about 20 percent when the dreaded green mold showed up .He threw the jar in his to be disposed of bag and forgot about it .When going through the jars he found that jar and the mycilla had completely consumed the tricoderma. The jar was now fully colonized and had invitro pins and no sign of mold anywhere. He doesnt remember the strain but it is the first time he has seen the mycilla win against green in a jar.Is it safe to birth?
You can birth it, then crumble the cake to see if the contaminant grew on the inside. If it did, it's better to toss the shrooms, if it didn't then i believe it's safe to consume them. You can make a casing with the crumbled cake if it is contam free.
