Green Mold Question

I just found 1 jar with a spot the size of my pinkie nail of green mold. Then I burned that place from the outside of the jar for 5 min. The green mold looks dead now it turned like a really dark green almost brown color. does anyone think this would eliminate my problem?

It may have killed the green but if it was truly trichoderma then it probably survived. If it was trich it was probably on the inside of the jar as well and the heat didnt kill it.

Isolate the jar from the rest and wait and see... I typically recommend throwing away anthing that shows contamination regardless. I just don't feel the health risks are worth the time or energy saved in trying to combat contamination.

Has Anyone Ever tried this? I'm Keeping them jar seperate from all the others. I'll keep you posted and let you all know if this solved my problem.

Aspergillus and penicillium are by far the more common green mold - trich usually only exploits exposed casings, not substrates.
