understanding dreams

I've never been the type that thinks about things deeply or spiritually in any matter. I'm pretty close minded I guess. I would really like to change this..
anyway onto my question, I don't exactly know how to ask this.
Does anyone interpret dreams? Do they have any spiritual meaning to you?
This goes for dreams you can't control (not lucid dreaming).
I ask this because my father had died a few weeks ago.
I have never dreamed about him until last night. It was really weird...In my dream I knew he had already died but I could see and speak to him. His wife (my step mom) was there too in my dream and I was thinking about asking her if she could see him too... Then I woke up from my dream and remembered that his wife had died 3 years ago.  I want to think of it as a sign of some sort.
Please let me know what you think and if you have any helpful websites I'd appreciate that.

i dont got much help but theres books that help interpret dreams liek if your fream ahs spiders in it it mean blah things like that. There are people that can interpret dreams one of my friends friends does it. shes like witch or something

for you, father and step mother will always be integral to your personality.
the dream state provides incredible intensity, so you will probably feel a bit creepy or shocked to see them as people, but for you they always are going to be around to some extent.
we have to become comfortable with this, and in a way it is a personal treasure that it happens.

My insight is: Your dreams are all parts of you. They tell you how you feel about yourself. The departed do not invade your dreams. You do. :heart:

The only thing that I can say is to write them down, get a notepad and pen and leave them right beside your bed. As soon as you wake from your dreams just reach over and scribble something down. I find that I am not able to remember my dreams very well, so a dream diary is a good thing to be able to look back on and review for patterns and such.
Though I must admit that I havent written in mine in well over 6 months. I think that this thread has re-sparked my interest :smile:

Dreams are the subconscious realm... possibly similar to places in astral travel. You could learn A LOT about your life and how to fix things and gain insight and such if you can learn to understand your own dreams. A lot of the books on interpretation are different than each other and may be incorrect, some might help though so you could try that out. There are a few good books on dreaming that would be of help to you. I would write down your dreams each day. You will get better and better at remembering and so on. And try to interpret them yourself after writing your dreams down for a while. People often disregard dreams as unimportant, but I believe they are a vital part in understanding yourself and the soul.
