History repeating
    #456602 - 11/13/01 12:34 AM (15 years, 8 months ago)

Everyone seems hyped up, so much is oging on in the world today, the second coming of Jesus, or we will destroy ourselves.. I too have these feeling that something will happen, however deep inside, deeper than these thoughts..i think life will go on how it is, we may change, whatever, but we will go on forever.

I was thinking about the second coming of Jesus today. I watched a bit of a program about the Devil on TLC (I think). It was pretty crappy though. I'm pretty sure that if I hyped myself up for the second coming of Jesus, or something similar, I'd most likely be dissapointed. So in that vein, I doubt anything is going to happen (though I'd probably like it to).

I have the same feeling. Something is about to happen, i'm not talking about being influenced by the media or dooms day paranoia, no, it's a feeling deep inside, it's like looking at people and people is no more the same, their "glow" shows a change in the near future, even nature itself is preparing for this event, like it's allmost ready to "give" (there's no word i can describe this feeling). Somehow i also feel things will go on , but they will be "corrected" , just don't know how.

Peace,
MAIA

Read "The Quickening" by Art Bell, or "Faster" by James Gleick, those books explain what I think is going on. Iv'e only read "Faster" myself, but am going to look into the on by Art Bell.
The theory that time is speeding up can quite easily be coupled with McKenna's theory about the end of Time if you are into his rap (which I am).

MAIA, you described it perfectly. I think maybe sometign will happen, maybe the second coming of Jesus, maybe we will get hit by a rock from space and only a few survive, maybe world war 3, any way i think if somethign big happens, we will live better with more realization, but we will go on, etc, etc

"time is speeding up"

I have no idea what that means. I read this thing on some groovy website that said:

"Time is actually speeding up (or collapsing). For thousands of years the Schumann Resonance or pulse (heartbeat) of Earth has been 7.83 cycles per second, The military have used this as a very reliable reference. However, since 1980 this resonance has been slowly rising. It is now over 12 cycles per second! This mean there is the equalivant of less than 16 hours per day instead of the old 24 hours."

wuh? i think i'm gonna have to buy that book because that stuff doesn't really compute with me at all...

People are feeling something different. I've felt a strong need for the truth of the universe ever since a small child.

I felt this need to know, a feeling that something is happening, a change... I searched for years and explored different beliefs of native people in different parts of the world.

After all the searching I found the answers to my questions.

Falun Dafa

The Fa (law, way) of the Universe is once again being tought.

http://www.falundafa.org

This is the one thing I can promise is true in this world.

My own experience, knowing and feeling the wisdom and energy beyond the human notion.

As a child one is tought the ways of the world by man. Man teaching man. Thus a child of the human world. A man realizes he has been tought by man and strives to know more than man. Wisdom rises. The universe brings the man what he desires. Learning from the universe the man is no longer an average man. He knows more than man that is tought by man. He sees the confussion, suffering, and ignorance of man. The way of the universe is revealed. Is he still a man?

You can ask any questions you want

It's actually not a particularly good website:
http://www.2012.com.au/Site.A.html

I found this article quite interesting for understanding a bit more about the whole mayan calender thing, the "corkscrew" theory seems to coincide with the flower of life creation theory:

Revelation posted the url: http://www.2012.com.au/Site.A.html and i went there, very interesting. Also ive noticed...an altered perception on time, not really, but time fly's wen your having fun, even when you're not....it seems to go alot faster than i think, i look at hte clock and its way ahead of time...sometimes it is slow though, i dont know. I actually think its just me. I just got here and im too lazy to get a job, i have crazy sleeping patterns, severe headaches, and im always tired. I think they all kinda interweave with eachother, the less id o the more tired i am and i sleep my sleep patterns get messed up, and ive always had headaches. however reading it and relating it with my life was fun and gave me hope ;p

People have always been saying that 'these are the endtimes" and always will. McKenna's 2012 timewave theory was the most outrageous theroy he came up with. In his original account of it in the invisible landscape, he makes an enormous leap of logic from discovering the King-wen I-Ching is an ancient astonomical calendar to assuming that it must also be an exact model of the fundamental 'timewave'. .. and that stuff about Schumann resonance is a myth http://www.dromo.com/fusionanomaly/schumannresonance.html

well, if that site is accurate about how the resonance is calculated, then i guess it's a failsafe argument, it must be a myth. good link mm.!

I've never held much faith in the idea of an End of Time, but on that same note, ever since I was a very small child I've always been quite wary when people began talking about Mayan Calendars (I grew up on a Hippie Commune, all of these ideas are fairly old hat for me). I always thought it was something irrational until I began to work up enough courage to study the Mayans and then i began to realize something. The Mayans were /very/ sophisticated people, they didn't have the wheel yet they built ruins and pyramids comprable to those at Giza and the Old World. They independently came up with the mathematical abstraction of Zero (void) and understood its implications far better than modern mathematics does (To mayans, zero was void and infinity - where as zero is just void for us). Not only this, but as advanced as their civilization was, the Mayans had no apparent trouble /completely abandoning it/ when it became too cumbersome for them. This to me is the ultimate sign of sophistication - the ability to abandon ideas that are harmful and notions that are unworkable rather than clinging desperately to them. It is a lesson that our civilization could do well learning.

As for the Mayan Calendar, If my memory serves me, there were Four Great Cycles which each ended, or was punctuated by, a great disaster. There was the Water Cycle which ended in a great flood for example, and the Meteor Cycle which ended in the obvious manner...the cycle we're living within (and the one the Mayans were living in when they abandoned Civilization in favor of re-tribalization) is the Earth cycle - one that supposedly ends in a tremendous series of earthquakes sometime around the year 2012 - near Christmas if memory serves. It's the only prognostication of doom that I've ever put any faith into simply because its people were sophisticated enough to abandon civilization - a benchmark of good sense to me. That and I was always instinctually fearful of it where every other divination of the End Times has always just seemed feeble and silly - geared towards controling people as sheep.

Ish

What's 'time' anyways?

Distance? Voids?
When you're having fun those voids are filled with love... time feels shorter because it is. The end of time begins when.....
think about it.
