Had a lucid dream again, finally

It was just a random occurence. I tried to turn on my light and it didn't work, so I tried a different light and it didn't work, and so I realized I was dreaming (you frequently have no control over light sources in dreams). Had one hell of a time maintaining though. I always get so fucking excited when I become lucid.

What did you end up doing in the dream?

I'm trying to read this book which teaches how to have lucid dreams all the time.

yeah me too.. what did you do once you went lucid?
my first instict is to usually fly, or run really fast.

My first instinct is to maintain it. I'm really bad at it really. I didn't do anything at all. Just was in awe that being lucid is possible in the first place. Really what I tried to do was just to calm down and stay lucid long enough that I became comfortable, then I was going to try and test the limits of lucidity. But that never happened really. Just kept waking up.

But with me, if I can become lucid once, as SOON as I wake up I can fall back asleep and become lucid within 10 seconds, so I have many many tries. Just never get any more comfortable or less amazed.

yeah, it rocks. you can do anything.
it's all instant reality manifestation
so anything you think, happens right then
and it seems so real
the only limits are the ones you create
of course, flying is the best :laugh:

i would think sex with 20 people at the same time would be better, but thats an individual call i guess

fuck yeah I have. incredible movie. I didn't know what lucid dreaming was until I watched that. But I've learned about it from other sources since then.

when i become lucid i usually try to have sex or fly... flying is fun because its something you cannot do in real life

I have flown a few times in lucid dreams before..it was a trip it felt like I was and everything, I was going super speed and the landscape looked all 3d and detailed and in color..it was al most dark in my dream too,,all the moutains looked very detailed, it was a trip!
What is even more trippy is I never have been in a airplane before... or anything similar....

when i lucid dream i try to remember to fly up...i keep doing that until i come to my body lying paralyzed in bed. then i recall the sensation of flying and try to fly out of my body. if I'm lucky i have an obe.

oh I did that before and I went way high I was going up hundreds of feet up very fast, I remember looking down while I was going up...because I noticed how high up I was, come to think of it I have had more, I just had to think about it..some was night time others were in the day, usually in the daytime it was later in the evening because everything seemed like it was getting dark..but I had trouble flying very long I would always come back to the ground..just like gravity was taking over again.. and also I would have a hard time flying again...I also remember seeing others looking at me from below, just amazed what I can do!!!...I can fly!! whoo hoo...and also could move objects with my mind, lucid dreaming is a trip...

forgive the delayed response but i was away on vacation.

sometimes im too sleepy to maintain consciousness. but when the conditions are right i try to remember to think 'peripherely' rather than 'directly' on objects or thoughts, or even feelings like fear.i find for myself that its a most succesful experience when i remember to stay calm.

this ability and the possibilities it opens up is the most fascinating esoteric topic for my tastes.
