2 questions on poo casing
    #4450481 -

1- I have read some case the poo and others don't case it when its colonized? are there any advantage disadvantage to either one?

2- I have also read that colonizing poo tempertures ahould be less than doin jars because spawning produces more heat....if this correct what it optimal incubating temps for it.

thanx

Some poo can be disadvantages to air exchange. That's why alot of people put straw in their casing. Horse poo though usually has a lot of straw already in it. Just saying. As for heat, I've never heard that. I wouldn't think the temperature differences would be anymore then minimal though.
Take care

Depending on the size of your poo casing, yes you may have to incubate at a lower temp. I incubate mine at 72 - 74 degrees. Mine are anywhere from 15-40 pound casing's. They produce a lot of heat. I stuck a thermometer sensor in the middle of one while it was incubating and the core temp was 12 degrees over ambient.
