"The terrorists know that the outcome in Iraq will leave them emboldened or defeated," Bush said in a nationally televised address last month. "So they are waging a campaign of murder and destruction."

However, interrogations of nearly 300 Saudis captured trying to sneak into Iraq and case studies of more than three dozen others who blew themselves up in suicide attacks show that most were heeding calls to drive infidels out of Arab land, according to a study by Saudi investigator Nawaf Obaid.

An analysis of 154 foreign fighters compiled by a leading terrorism researcher found that despite the presence of some senior al-Qaida operatives, "the vast majority of non-Iraqi Arabs killed in Iraq have never taken part in any terrorist activity prior to their arrival in Iraq."

The Israel study says: "Only a few were involved in past Islamic insurgencies in Afghanistan, Bosnia, or Chechnya."

Most of the ones that become famous maybe, but how often are there suicide bombings? It may seem too often to you, but in reference to the actual number of people fighting the U.S., 2 or 3 people blowing themselves up a week isn't a huge portion of the fighters, foreign or otherwise.

We can't label them all under "terrorists" either, for that's only simplifying the issue too much. Many of them are completely different groups or individuals with different intentions; some are Iraqis who want the Americans out of their country, others are radical terrorists who want to start a civil war in Iraq and thereby show the failure of America. Some want the prosperity of Iraq but without American help, others want to make Iraq a massive failure to show the U.S. as a massive failure.

The stupid bullshit America has gotten itself into. :shake: What do we expect to get out of this sacrifice we have made? Not enough to make it worth it in my opinion.
