afoaf needs to know if you have a plant that started budding a week ago, is it ok to pick a bud early, will it still have a decent amount of thc?

Well it looked pretty thin... we were fiending for some but didnt want to take a tiny little thing that would probably turn out to be 10x bigger and more potent in two or three weeks.. so oh well

yeah...you'll smack yourself if you pinch a cola. wait about a week after trichs form and you can trim up the lower buds sapping energy from the tips for some standby herb until the colas finish  :strokebeard:

THC production normally peaks around the later stages of flowering anyway.. I guess it's possible you might catch a little buzz but picking them now would probably be kind of a waste.. depending on your strain/growing conditions those little buggers should be set to explode over the course of the next few weeks. Sit back and let them do their thing, you'll be glad you waited..

Yeah dude one week of flowering is nothing. It should only be showing pistols if that by now. There shouldn't even really be a bud to speak of. Although later down the line you can clip a premature bud for a sampling just don't clip one of the main colas that would be a shame. Clip one of the lower "popcorn" buds. Good luck with your friends grow shroomism the first few are always the most fun.
